John Thomas Radney, Sr. 76 of Columbus, Georgia died Saturday, March 23, 2019 at his residence.
Graveside services with Navy Honors will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 3, 2019 in Parkhill Cemetery with Rev. Ewell Pritchett officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory.
Mr. Radney was born August 14, 1943 in Columbus, Georgia son of the late John Thomas Radney, Sr. and Edna Elizabeth Thompson Radney. He was a United States Navy Veteran serving in Vietnam and retired after 36 years as a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service. Mr. Radney was a Mason, and a longtime coach at Eastern and American Little League. Mr. Radney loved spending time with his grandchildren and working around his yard.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Judy Ann Radney of Columbus, Ga., sons, John T. Radney, III (Stephanie) of Columbus, Ga., Jeffery S. Radney (Johana) of Midland, Ga., sister, Jean Radney Bates of Good Hope, Ga., three grandchildren, Harley C. Radney, Ingrid A. Radney, Johanna Sara Radney, nieces and nephews.
