Phenix City, AL - John Charles Newman, 53 of Phenix City died Sunday, December 13, 2009 at his residence.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, December 17, 2009 at Green Acres Cemetery with Rev. Marvin Minton officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday morning from 10:00 AM till 12:00 PM at Colonial Funeral Home, 613 14th St. Phenix City, AL.
Mr. Newman was born October 18, 1956 at Eglin AFB, FL son of the late Zera Virginia Kirven Newman and Rufus Carlton Newman. He worked at the Federal Courthouse in Columbus and was a member of Cascade Hills Church.
Survivors include his son Johnny Newman of Phenix City; brother Frank C. Newman and wife Carolyn of Smiths, AL and niece Kristie Moreau of Phenix City, AL.
