John "Johnny" Harvard Macon, 73, of Columbus, GA died Friday January 10, 2020 at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, GA.
Private graveside services will be held at Clowers Cemetery in Cataula, GA with a Memorial service to be held at a later date, according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA.
Johnny was born May 15, 1946 in Columbus, GA to the late Calvin Edgar Macon and Lois Maddie Mann Macon. He was a handyman and a U.S. Army Veteran. Johnny enjoyed fishing, country music, hiking, and talking and telling stories. He had a heart of gold and was nicknamed "Big John". He was preceded in death by his child, Cindy Macon.
Survivors include his children, Alisha Wheeler and Lawanda Blanchard of West Virginia, a brother, Calvin "Ray" Macon and wife Christine "Chris" Anne Macon of Chestertown, MD, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
