John Scott Dunn

Mr. John Scott Dunn of Columbus, GA passed away Monday, February 7, 2022 at Columbus Hospice.

Celebration of life will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, February 10, 2022 in the chapel at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.

John Scott was born January 19, 1946 in Columbus, GA to the late William and Lillian Dunn.  John attended Jordan Vocational High school and graduated in 1964.  He served four years in the Navy.  He enjoyed fishing and enjoyed his time working for Pratt & Whitney for 27 years until retiring in 2009.  His greatest joy was spending time with his wife and family.

John is survived by his wife of 49 years, Sheila Hagler Dunn, daughter Cindy Watley (Michael), grandchildren, Collin Bailey and Victoria Watley; Brothers, William Dunn (Susan) and Bill Dunn; Sisters, Jennie Bailey (Grady), Anne Bowling (Teddy) and a host of family members whom he loved.  Preceded by death, sister, Katherine Dunn Zimmerman.

In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made, in memory of John, to Columbus Hospice, 7020 Moon Road, Columbus, GA.
