John Justin Cornell, 75, of Columbus, GA died Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at his home.
The family will receive friends Sunday, September 11, 2016 from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mr. Cornell was born June 12, 1941 in Dansville, NY son of the late Albert Nathan Cornell and Juene Bertram Cornell. He graduated from the Gemologist Institute of America where he became a Certified Gemologist. Mr. Cornell was a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Shriner and a Past Mastor of the Rose Hill Lodge 484, F & AM.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Allan Cornell and Glenn Cornell.
Survivors include his sons, Shawn Cornell of Columbus, GA, Matthew Cornell of Wheeler, TX and Mark Cornell of Columbus, GA, five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, brother, Craig Cornell of Shortsville, NY, sister, Gail Ruliffson of Palmyra, NY, and best friend, Virginia Self of Waverly Hall, GA.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to your favorite charity.
