Joe L. Edwards, 81 of Phenix City, AL died Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Parkwood Health Care.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Buddy Whitacre officiating. A private interment will be held in Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home, 613 14th St. Phenix City, AL.
Mr. Edwards was born April 12, 1932 in Columbus, Georgia son of the late Jacob H. Edwards and Feldia L. Meriweather Edwards. He was a Brick Mason and was a member of Bethany Baptist Church.
Other than his parents he was preceded in death by his wives, Betty Rose Edwards and Mabell P. Edwards and brother, James M. Edwards.
Survivors include his daughters, Loretta Daniels (Danny) of Phenix City, AL and Cynthia Brannon (Grady) of Waverly Hall, GA; two grandchildren, Nathan Daniels (Elisa) and Nicki Bartley (Mike) and four great grandchildren, Tatum and Wesley Rose Daniels and Mikel and Dani Bartley.
