Joaquin B. “Kin” Fejeran 81 of Columbus, Georgia died Sunday January 14, 2024 in Mt. Airy, Ga.
Graveside services with Military honors will be held 12:00 Noon Saturday, January 20, 2024 at Buck Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, 285 Buck Creek Drive, Norman Park, Georgia 31711.
Ken was born September 24, 1942 in Agat, Guam son of the late Jesus Cruz and Rosa Babauta Fajeran. He retired as a SFC in the U.S. Army serving in Vietnam where he received the following awards: Silver Star, Army Commendation Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 1 Silver Service Star, 1 Bronze Star, Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross Unit Citation Badge with Palm and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal. After his retirement, Ken served 20 years with Civil Service at Fort Benning.
Other than his parents, Ken was preceded in death by his wife Barbara A. Tillman Fejeran and 7 brothers and sisters.
Survivors include his children, Beth Beebout, Barbara Burnette and Gary Burnette, sister, Ana Savory 4 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great- grandchild. He is also survived by cousins Vicenta “Ben” Babauta , Rosa Umadhay and numerous nieces and nephews.
