Our little Joanie was born on September 29, 1932 in Malatya, Turkey daughter of the late Sezai and Mahide Cetinalp. She retired from Civil Service at Ft. Benning after 19 years to be a stay at home nana. She loved taking trips to Disney World and the beach with her family, along with walking, singing, and watching the Georgia Bulldogs in her free time. However, the two things Joanie loved the most were spreading the love of Jesus to everyone she met, and spending time with her granddaughter, McKenzie.

Sweet Joan never met a stranger, and made every human she encountered feel so loved and valued. She resided at Orchard View for the final 3 years of her life, and was a fan favorite amongst the staff and her friends. She was a true light to the world and will be sorely missed by many.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by two of her three sisters, Rosie Highsmith and Nesrin Altindag.

She is survived by her daughter, Margaret Bragg, her son, James Bragg (Diana), her granddaughter McKenzie Robinson (Eric), and her sister Ayten Ozcolak, along with two nieces and two nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Joan’s memory to Columbus Hospice House, 7020 Moon Road, Columbus, GA 31909 or www.columbushospice.com
