JoAnne C. Barlow, 85, of Columbus, GA died Friday, December 9, 2011 at St. Francis Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at St. Thomas Episcopal Church with the Reverend Doug Hahn and the Reverend Lorna Erixson officiating. There will be a private interment at the Ft. Benning Main Post Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 13, 2011 from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. at McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA.
Mrs. Barlow was born August 11, 1926 in Westchester, PA; daughter of the late Griffith S. Clark and Josephine Offley Clark. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church. She was a loving wife and mother who dedicated her life to her husband throughout his military career. She was a beautiful person who was loved and will be missed by all.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Ken B. Barlow, Jr. of Columbus, GA; daughters, Sudi Andrews of Columbus, GA and Robin Barlow of Athens, GA; and grandchildren, Joy Sargent (Chris) of Columbus, GA, Adam Shy (Elizabeth) of Chico, CA and Zachary Shy (Laura) of Oakland, CA.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. John Adams, the entire staff at St. Francis Hospital and special friends at Spring Harbor.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 2100 Hilton Avenue, Columbus, GA 31906.
