J.L. Gore

J.L. Gore, 90, of Pine Mountain, GA died Friday February 22, 2019 at the Columbus Hospice House in Columbus, GA.

Graveside services will be held 3:00 PM Tuesday February 26, 2019 at Lakeview Memory Gardens Cemetery in Phenix City, AL with Reverend Jimmy Culpepper officiating. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5-7 PM at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA.

Mr. Gore was born October 17, 1928 in Cottonwood, AL, son of the late Cody Gore and Mattie Elizabeth Skinner Gore. He worked in the maintenance department at The Medical Center and Doctors Hospital in Columbus, GA and was a U.S. Army Veteran. Mr. Gore was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Willie Edna Sartin Gore, and a brother Leonard Gore.

Survivors include his children, Richard Gore (Donna), Glenda Faye Floyd, Patricia Ann Smith (Waymond), Jimmy Lee Gore (Linda), and Michael Gore (Becky), 12 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.
