Jimmy Cole Roland, 64, of Columbus, GA died Saturday, February 2, 2013 at his residence.
Memorial services will be held 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at Eastwood Baptist Church with Mr. Nick Page and Reverend Michael Heath officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church, according to McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA.
Mr. Roland was born Ocotober 26, 1948, son of the Lenard Dow Roland and Margaret Cole Roland. He and his family grew up in Eastwood Baptist Church, later moving their membership to Cross Pointe Baptist Church. He was God's "special child" and loved by all.
Survivors include his sister, Patty Kemp (Slade) of Columbus, GA; nephews, Aaron Gray (Angela) and their children, Natalie and Noah Gray all of Columbus, GA and Tripp Kemp of Ft. Hood, TX; special friend and caregiver, Paula Harris and family of Columbus, GA; special mama, Sue Debardelaben of Hamilton, GA; special friend, Aunt Frank of Columbus, GA; caregiver, Harlena Hudson of Hamilton, GA; and numerous other family members.
