Jimmy Wayne Hutchinson, 67, of Phenix City, AL died Thursday, April 12, 2012 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, April 16, 2012 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Randy Comer officiating. A private interment will be at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell, AL. The family will receive friends following the funeral service, according to McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA.

Mr. Hutchinson was born November 8, 1944 in Columbus, GA son of the late Norman Hutchinson and Nolan Hearn Hutchinson. He was a U. S. Air Force veteran and retired as a security officer for Civil Service at Fort Benning. He was a member of St. James Baptist Church and Wilson Williams Masonic Lodge #3510. He worked with the Shriners Cripple and Burn Children's programs.

Survivors include his wife, Glenda Darsey Hutchinson of Phenix City, AL; sons, Wayne Hutchinson of Hartley, DE and John Moffitt of Phenix City, AL; daughters, Mary Moffitt of Minneapolis, MN, Lori Cottrell and Cheryl Moffit both of Omaha, NE; special friend, Terri Joplin of Minneapolis, MN; grandchildren, Crystal, K.J., Kendall, Atayia, Brycen, Gabriel, Katie, and Karlie; sister, Alice H. Kite of Phenix City, AL; aunt, Margaret Hutchinson Clements of Phenix City, AL; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations to St. Judes Children's Hospital, P. O. Box 1000, Dept 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142.
