Jimmy Gray

Jimmy Gray, a lifelong resident of Columbus, GA, passed away peacefully of natural causes on January 24, 2025, at the age of 79. Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at 2:00pm in Riverdale Cemetery 1000 Victory Dr, Columbus, GA 31901. According to McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.

Born on December 5, 1945, in the same city, Jimmy was known for his kind spirit and enduring love for his family and friends. A proud graduate of Jordan Vocational School in 1964, Jimmy dedicated over two decades of his life to the textile industry, working for Fieldcrest. His commitment to his work was paralleled only by his passion for Atlanta sports, as he was an avid fan of both the Braves and the Falcons. One thing Jimmy enjoyed more than anything is spending time with his beloved cat Snowball.

Jimmy leaves behind his beloved sisters, Patsy Spohr and her husband Ludwig of Columbus, GA, and Charlotte Jackson and her husband Leon of Wetumpka, AL. The family would like to give a special thanks to his nurse Terrah Cromer RN of Americus, GA. His memory will also be cherished by a host of extended family members and friends who were blessed to know him.

Jimmy's life was a testament to the enduring power of love and loyalty, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of his company.
