Jimmy R. "Cowboy" Ellis, 56, of Salem, AL died Saturday, February 19, 2011 at Columbus Hospice House in Columbus, GA.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Emory Evans officiating. Interment will be held at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mr. Ellis was born October 21, 1954 in Columbus, GA son of the late Woodrow and Willie B. Floyd Ellis. He was a painter and he attended Faith Temple Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include his son, Bradley Ellis, two daughters, Crystal and Amanda Ellis all of Cullman, AL, sister, Dean Ellis Cosby (Carroll) of Salem, AL, brother, W.C. Ellis, Sr. (Martha) of Columbus, GA, three grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
