Jimmie Edison Clark, 76, of Opelika, AL died Wednesday, August 4, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital.

Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM EST Thursday, August 6, 2015 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with the Rev. Tom Grantham officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home. A private interment will follow in Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery.

Mr. Clark was born February 1, 1939 in Dothan, AL and was the son of the late Wade Merlin Clark and Tempie Lee Meadows Clark. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Jo Scott. Mr. Clark served in the U.S. Army and later worked as a loan officer and financial planner for several companies and himself. Mr. Clark was a member of Purpose Baptist Church in Opelika and was an avid outdoorsman and bird hunter who loved his bird dogs.

Survivors include his loving wife of 20 years, Sara Emily Henderson Clark; two daughters, Debra Bray (Edward) and Connie Charo (Larry) both of Columbus, GA; granddaughter, Cassie Grimsley Ackerley of Cincinnati, OH; three sisters, Beverly Hall (Jesse) of Dothan, AL, Eleanor White (Larry), Birdie Jarrett (Bill) both of Columbus, GA and brother, David Clark (Bonnie) also of Columbus, GA.
