J.H Buchans, Iii

J.H. Buchans III, 61, of Savannah, lost his long battle with throat cancer and entered into God's kingdom on November, 8, 2022.

The Memorial Service will be held this 10:00 AM Friday, November 11th, 2022 at McMullen Funeral Home in Columbus, GA and also a spreading of his ashes ceremony in Savannah on November, 19th, 2022 where friends and family will be invited to share tribute stories and memories at that time.

Jay (Buddy) was born on September 9th, 1961 to Molly and J.H. Buchans. Jay was preceded in death by his father, J.H. He is survived by his mother, Molly; sisters; Marian, Melissa and Melody; nieces and nephews; Matt, Marc, Jessie, Josh, and Salem; daughters: Ashley and Kim; grandchildren; Samuel, Jeanie and Luke; along with so many friends near and far.

Jay loosely attended Sol C Johnson high school and was an honorably discharged Army veteran. He was a busy man working as an equally talented mechanic and carpenter. In his free time, he was a published poet and gifted sketch artist, He loved motorcycles, camping fishing, juggling ladies, and reading Stephen King books. Jay will especially be remembered for his driving capabilities, ability to spin a good tale, and always looking to help people.
