The Memorial service of Mrs. Jewelene (Muzzie) Burdick, 92 of Phenix City, AL. who died Mar. 3, 2020, will be conducted Saturday Mar. 14, 2020 at 11:00 AM, at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory.
A native of Opp, AL., Mrs. Burdick, was born May 2, 1927, daughter of the late Monroe and Eunice Walker Nelson. She was a retired Clerk of Court, having worked for Columbus Consolidated Government. She was also preceded in death by her daughters, Dorthelia Sheppard and Shelia Burdick Robinson, her brother Gailon Nelson, James Nelson, of Mobile, AL., sister Willadean Carter, of Opp, AL. and her granddaughter Melinda Dawn Sheppard. She was Baptist by faith.
She is survived by her son, Tommie Burdick (Bonnie), of Liberty Township, OH., two sisters, Garnita Strickland, of Montgomery, AL., Marilyn Anderson, of Phenix City, AL. and brother, Ronald Nelson, of Ocala, FL., three grandchildren Hank Standridge, of Columbus, GA., DBIE A. Johnson of Cincinnati, OH., and William Ross Burdick, of Cincinnati, OH, and two great-grandchildren, Thomas Morrison and Kevin Morrison, both of Cincinnati, OH.
