Jessie H. Parker, 92, of Columbus, GA died Saturday, April 2, 2011 at Columbus Hospice House.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at McMullen Funeral Home with Reverend Billy Gross officiating. Interment will follow at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Parker was born June 20, 1918 in Houston, AK daughter of the late Edward Eugene Hillis and Maudie Freeman Hillis. She worked at Archer Hosiery Mill and in the Laundry Department at St. Francis Hospital.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Wynelle Rexford and her granddaughter, Donna Johnson.
Survivors include her grandchildren, Lori Lockwood (Jack) of Columbus, GA and Trace Johnson (Julie) of Mobile, AL, great grandchildren, David Rexford, Ben Rexford, Sam Lockwood, Jessie Johnson and Jamie Rexford (Tina), and a great great grandchild, Makayla Rexford. She also leaves behind many friends that were adopted into her heart.
