Jessie M. Cannon, 69, of Columbus, GA died Thursday, March 17, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, March 21, 2016 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Rev. Kevin Stone officiating. Interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Cannon was born November 6, 1946 in Atlanta, GA daughter of the late Henry L. and Ileta Lorene Wylie Carswell. She was a bookkeeper, homemaker and a member of Glenn Anthony Baptist Church.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Frances Elizabeth Griffis and her brother, Robert F. Carswell.
Survivors include her husband, James L. "Jimmy" Cannon of Columbus, GA, son, Keith Carlisle (Rhonda), daughter, Kelli Koelsch, two brothers, Henry Lewis Carswell, Jr. and Curtis Willard Carswell, Sr. (Elizabeth), three grandchildren, Chance Nellis, Steven Carlisle and Savannah Carlisle, and two great grandchildren, Allyson Gay and Alex Nellis.
