Jerry Lammar Smith, 59, of Jasper, GA died Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Columbus Hospice House.
A memorial service will be held 4:30 PM Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Calvary Baptist Church 7556 Old Moon Rd. Columbus, GA 31909 with Rev. Jeff Struecker officiating. The family will greet friends following the service at the church according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mr. Smith was born November 11, 1958 in Columbus, GA son of Helen Annie Wetzel of Columbus, GA and the late Gene Autry Smith, Sr. He worked as an installer. He enjoyed keeping up with the news and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Other than his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, David Carter Lee.
Survivors include his daughter, Christy Tooley, granddaughters, Shalyn Elizabeth Black and Natalie Dean Tooley all of Upatoi, GA, sister, Helen Jo Ann Smith Richardson of Warner Robins, GA, brother, Gene Autry Smith, Jr. of Columbus, GA, and many nieces and nephews and other family members
