Jerry V. Davis, 54, of Columbus, GA died Sunday, August 4, 2013 at Columbus Hospice House.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 7, 2013 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mr. Davis was born March 14, 1959 in Columbus, GA son of Carey Peters Davis of Columbus, GA and the late L.V. Davis. He served in the U.S. Army as an Engineer for 4 years and later worked in the Ice Cream Department at Kinnett Dairy where he met the mother of his children, Patricia Davis Harris. He also worked for many years as an electrician's helper.
Other than his father, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Larry Davis, Tommy Davis, and Terry Davis.
Survivors other than his mother include his children, Keri Leigh Davis, Joshua Allen Davis, Christina Rose Gorman and Roy Matthew Carden all of Columbus, GA, sister, Holly Davis Nalls of Columbus, GA, and two nephews, Tommy Davis and Hayden Nalls of Columbus, GA.
