Jerry Everette Bundy, 68, of Columbus, GA died Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at Columbus Hospice House.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, October 26, 2019 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Dr. Don Wilhite officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM and also following the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Bundy was born November 18, 1950 in Columbus, GA son of the late Everette and Trudell Grissette Bundy. He was a Sergeant First Class in the Alabama National Guard, and he worked for 30 years as a nurse in Surgical Services for the Medical Center, St. Francis and later Jain Plastic Surgery. Mr. Bundy was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and loved deep sea fishing and hunting.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Glenda Bundy Watley.
Survivors include his daughter, Sommer Bundy Rinehart (Jeff) of Montgomery, AL, son, Jarred Everette Bundy (Shana) of Fairplay, CO, granddaughter, Ava Grace Bundy of Fairplay, CO, brother-in-law, Tommy Watley (Morgan) of Midland, GA, and nephews, Tim Watley (Courtney) and Trey Watley (Heather) all of Midland, GA.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Columbus Hospice 7020 Moon Rd. Columbus, GA 31909 or the National Parkinson's Foundation, 200 SE 1st St. Suite 800 Miami, FL 33131.
