Jerry Lamond Ard

Jerry Lamond Ard III, 63, of Columbus, GA passed away Thursday, August 12, 2021 at St. Francis Hospital.

Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, August 19, 2021 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907, with Pastor Tony Dickerson officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM Tuesday, August 17, 2021. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, masks will be required for anyone in attendance of the services held.

Mr. Ard was born July 21, 1958 in Louisiana to the late Joseph Spot and Octavia Ard. Mr. Ard loved his family and music, which were both apart of his everyday life. He was a Freemason and enjoyed spending time with his brothers often. Alongside spending time with family and friends, Mr. Ard loved to cook. Mr. Ard was part of the Pinehurst Baptist Church. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and served this country with prestige and gratitude.

Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Sherri Ard of Columbus, Georgia; his children, Alexandria Ard of Columbus, GA, Arianna Ard of Columbus, GA, Branden Ard of Smiths Station, AL, Meghin Ard of Smiths Station, AL,step-children, Marquis Henry of Columbus, GA, Tierra Howerton of Columbus, GA, Eric Walker of Columbus, GA; a host of grandchildren and other family members.
