Jeroline T. Mills, 87, of Columbus, GA died Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at Columbus Hospice House.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, January 29, 2011 at Waldrop Memorial Baptist Church 2308 Hilton Ave. Columbus, GA 31906 with Dr. Mike Knowles officiating. A private interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday morning from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church according to McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Mills was born August 15, 1923 in Columbus, GA daughter of the late Haskell Joseph and Lillian Marquis Thompson. She retired from the Civil Service as an Administrative Assistant. She was a member of Waldrop Memorial Baptist Church and was a member of the Bridge Club at Fox Recreation Center. Mrs. Mills was a volunteer at Doctor's Hospital and was a U.S. Navy Veteran.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Mills, Sr. and her brother, Haskell J. Thompson, Jr.
Survivors include her three sons, Clay Mills of Columbus, GA, David Mills (Deborah) of Columbus, GA and Joe Mills (Pam) of Marietta, GA, brother, George Thompson of Merced, CA, four grandchildren, Amanda and Alicia Mills, and Derek and Drew Mills.
