Jeremy "Brandon" Murphy, 40, of Columbus, GA, died Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Gentiva Hospice.
Memorial Services will be held later according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mr. Murphy was born January 13, 1977 in Columbus, Georgia, son of Danny Murphy (Tina), Upatoi, GA and Janice Stevens Murphy of Phenix City, AL. He was a writer of books having published two, an online and tabletop gamer and started a Creek language page on Facebook with over 2000 members. He was given the name "The Bear that Walks the Sky," in a naming ceremony in his tribal town in Whigham, GA.
Survivors, other than his parents, include his wife of 13 years, Roberta Nicholson-Murphy of Columbus, GA; daughter, Morrigan Raven Grace Murphy of Columbus, GA; son, Perry Michael Valentine of Bowling Green, KY; sisters, Michelle Stover (David) of Phenix City, AL and Erin Murphy and fiancé Jeremy Bolin of Columbus, GA; mother-in-law, Flo Dutrisac of Columbus, GA and numerous other family members.
