Jennifer Joan Gowdy

Mrs. Jennifer Joan Gowdy, 67 of Fortson, GA passed away on Sunday, April 4, 2021 at Piedmont Northside Hospital in Columbus, GA.

Jennifer was born February 17, 1954 in Trenton, New Jersey, daughter of Warren Frost and Maybelle Ruth Frost.  She was employed with Aflac in billing and retired in 2003.  She was preceded in death by her brothers Clarence Sage Frost and Warren Lee Frost.

She is survived by her husband, James Allen Gowdy of Fortson, GA, her son Travis James Gowdy of Phenix City, AL, a daughter-in-law Jamie Grochowski, Smiths Station, AL, grandson Cooper James Gowdy of Smiths Station, AL,  her sisters Ellen Alice Catlaw and Belinda Lee Frost and her best friend, Cathy Sweeney of Columbus, GA.

Jennifer was a loving and dedicated wife and mother.  She enjoyed swimming, sewing, dancing, and spending time with family and close friends.  Playing and cuddling with her grandson was what she enjoyed the most in her last years.  She will be truly missed.
