Jeffery was born October 24, 1968 in Columbus, GA son of Donald W. and Debora A. Brown Wells. He was self-employed as a subcontractor for Lowes. Jeffery loved his family deeply and was a great friend. He enjoyed life and all it had to offer, and he lived each day to its fullest. We will miss him in our daily routines, but his memories will always be in our hearts.
He loved all things sweet and somehow managed to never gain a pound. There were few things that Jeff was unable to fix. He cared genuinely for his family, and showed that through his hard work and constant humor. Jeff was a devoted husband who spent countless years making Beth smile with jokes, ice cream, and always having the electric blanket on. Jeff shaped the life of his children through his constant support and ability to not take life too seriously. Although he often appeared strong and quiet, Jeff had a sensitive heart, built for helping others. Jeff was a man of many different layers, offering a different perspective of himself to each person he encountered.
He is survived by his parents, Donald and Debora Wells of Columbus; his wife of 20 years, Beth Evans Wells, Columbus; three children, Hannah W. Gilmore (Danny), Columbus, Cain Smith (Taylor Hill), Smiths Station and Bailey Smith, Franklin, TN; one brother, Keith Wells (Kelly), Columbus; four grandchildren, Reed Dowdy, Easton Smith, Emma and Daniel Gilmore; nephew Drew Wells, niece, Maddie Wells; mother-in-law, Tricia Waldrop; several cousins and friends also survive.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Jeffrey's memory to the National Kidney Foundation, www.kidney.org or National Kidney Foundation, Inc., 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016.
