Jeannette V. Giffin, 76, of Mexico Beach, FL died Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Columbus Hospice House in Columbus, GA.
A Memorial Mass will be held for her at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church in Macon, GA on Feb. 11th at 11:00 am. The repast will follow directly after in the Social Hall downstairs.
Jeannette was born November 5, 1942 in Boston, MA daughter of the late Louis A. Vogel, Jr. and Jean Morris Vogel Gross. Jeannette was a wonderful wife to Leonard W. Giffin for nearly 53 years and had two sons, Brian K. Giffin and Scott A. Giffin. In addition to being a great wife, mother, grandmother and friend for many years Jeannette helped manage the Blue Water Inn & Marina in Mexico Beach, FL. where is and Leonard lived for over 20 years.
Survivors include her husband, Leonard W. Giffin of Mexico Beach, FL, son Brian K. Giffin of Columbus, GA, son Scott A. Giffin (Colleen) of Macon, GA grandchildren Liam, Taylor and Evelyn. Also her siblings Patricia (Richard) Parker of Colorado Springs, Co. Paul (Deloris) Vogel of Niceville, FL, Daniel (Dee) Morris of Antioch, CA, Annette (Richard) Morley of Ft. Myers, FL, William (Terry) Gross, of Waldorf, MD, Malcolm C. Gross, Jr. of Hagerstown, MD, her brothers-in-law James Giffin (Mary) and Charles Giffin both of Winter Haven, FL. Her brother Louis A. Vogel, III of Santa Ana, CA predeceased her. Jeannette is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews whom she was very fond of.
