Jeanette Williamson Craig, 80, of Columbus, GA, died Friday, April 22, 2016 at her residence.
Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at Parkhill Cemetery with Rev. Dick Reese officiating. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5:00-7:00 PM at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Craig was born June 24, 1935 in Columbus, GA, daughter of the late Charles Williamson and Annie Lee Franklin Williamson. She was a member of the the St. Luke United Methodist Church and Discovery Sunday School Class and a former member of Hamp Stevens and St. Andrews United Methodist Churches.
She received her Master's Degree from Auburn University. Over the course of her 25 year career in the Muscogee County School District, she served both as an elementary school educator and media specialist. She was a member of the Muscogee County Retired Educators, Historic Columbus Foundation, Brookstone Garden Club and Brookstone Home Owners Association.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Williamson.
Mrs. Craig is survived by her husband of 58 years, Eugene "Gene" Craig of Columbus, GA; daughter, Sharon White (Gary) of Midland, GA; son, Michael Craig (Ashley) of Fortson, GA; 5 grandchildren, Amanda Jeffery (Sean), Emily Collins (Joseph), Kaitlin Craig, Cal Lavoie and Ally Craig; 2 great-grandchildren, Landon Collins and Ian Jeffery and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Anne Elizabeth Shepherd Home, 751 Double Churches Road Columbus, GA 31904.
