Jayaben L. Patel, 87, of Columbus, GA. passed away peacefully, Saturday, September 28, 2019.
A memorial service will be held 10:00 AM Monday, September 30, 2019 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA. 31097 Temple Priest Gopalbhai Pandya will officiate.
Mrs. Patel was born June 7, 1937 in Nogama,Gujarat, India to the late Amthabhai Patel and Bhikbiben Patel.
Mrs. Patel lived to fulfill her childrens' and grandchildrens' dreams and she was considered the "Yoda" of the family. She is also proceeded in death by her husband LaLbhai B. Patel whom she married April 27, 1950 and had 2 children, Hansa and Nayna. Mrs. Patel lived in Leicester, England for 45 years where she worked in production for Thorn Lighting for 30 plus years before moving to stay with her daughter, Nayna over 11 years ago.
Survivors include her two daughters, Nayna Patel (Kaushik) and Hansa Patel (Arvind), sisters,
Santaben Patel of Lexington, KY. and Bhanuben Patel of Boston, MA., grandchildren, Deena Patel, Melissa Patel, Mitun Patel, Alpesh Patel, Shaneal Patel Jijisha Patel, great grandchildren, Jaiden Patel, Preston Cole, Maya Patel, Toshio Patel, Jaya Patel, Takeshi Patel, Braxton Cole.
