Jay Dee Harmon Jr,

Jay Dee Harmon Jr, 74 died at his home in Ellerslie Ga on Wednesday August 30, 2023.

Born March 15, 1949 in Port Arthur, Tx to Jefferson Davis and Vivan Snow Harmon. Jay Dee served in the US Army for 15 years as an Engineer. He also worked for Schneider National Trucking as a long haul commercial driver for over 20 years until he retired. While driving for Schneider, he ultimately partnered with Mike Donalson and formed a life-long friendship.

Jay Dee married his wife Suk Harmon on August 23, 1979 and they recently celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary. He loved family above all else, although the Pittsburgh Steelers were a close second who he felt was the greatest team to ever play the game. He loved watching football, channel surfing, playing cards, and when it suited him changing the rules to his advantage to drive his grand kids crazy. He also loved spending time outdoors whenever possible.

Jay Dee is survived by his wife Suk Harmon, 2 children Alex Harmon and Katrinia Yohe, daughter in-law Caci Harmon and son in-law Ronald Yohe, brother David Harmon and sister Lori Adams, sister in-law Dawn Harmon, 6 grandchildren Ashley Monson, Sam Bowling, Alex Harmon Jr, Brandi Jacobsen, Michael Jacobsen, and Max Jacobsen, and 3 great-grandchildren Ava, Oliver, and Violette.
