Janie M. Hatley, 87, of Columbus, GA died Monday, December 18, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital.
A private service will be held at a later date according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Hatley was born February 24, 1930 in Shawmont, AL daughter of the late Jasper and Louise Golden Murphy. She worked in Civil Service as a Key Punch Accountant. Mrs. Hatley loved to dance and is now dancing with the angels, her husband, and daughter in Heaven.
She was a loving wife, mother and friend.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilburn Odell "W.O." Hatley and her daughter, Gwendell Hatley.
Survivors include her son, Gary Hatley (Debra) of Columbus, GA, 3 daughters, Vickie Norris (Clifford) of Opelika, AL, Sheree Acree (John) of Augusta, GA and Darlene Hatley (Jack Griffith) of Jonesboro, TN, 6 grandchildren, Derek, Dayle, Jay, Eric, Jack and Sarah, 3 great grandchildren, Kacy, Britney & Andrew, brother Richard Murphy(Dot) and sister, Elaine Lupo (Mark).
