Janice "Mama Jan" Blanton Reardon

Janice “Mama Jan” Blanton Reardon, 81, of Columbus, GA died Sunday, February 21, 2021 at Piedmont Midtown.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, February 27, 2021 in the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907, with Donnie Shavers officiating. In keeping with the efforts to stop the spread of COVID-19 facemask and social distancing will be required during the services.

Janice was born February 23, 1939 in Phenix City, AL to the late Willie Drew Hinton and Hazel Crowley Hinton. She worked at the Holiday Inn for 32 years and at Ezell’s for 30 years before she retired.  She was known as “Mama Jan” to many and was the “cool” mom of the neighborhood. Everyone enjoyed hanging out at “Mama Jan’s” house with her children. She was a loving and caring person by nature. Later in life she moved into a house that was rebuilt for her by her son-in-law and grandchildren. She loved her new home and was very thankful to be living in her new home close to her family.  Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her daughter Cathy Woodman.

She is survived by her daughter Cindy Foxworth (Ronald) of Columbus, GA, sister, Barbara Ann Hudson (Bill) of Phenix City, AL, grandchildren, James Sewell of Columbus, GA Michael Foxworth of Columbus, GA, Brandi Woodman of Ohio, Billy Foxworth (Brandi) of Washington, Danella Colburn (Johnny) of Columbus, GA and 9 great-grandchildren.
