Janice Price Eckert, 72, of Columbus, GA had her vibrant life taken suddenly in an automobile accident in LaFayette, AL.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, June 19, 2010 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel. A private interment will be held in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Ms. Eckert was born October 2, 1937 in Texasville, AL daughter of the late William and Eunice Morrison Price. She worked as a secretary for Martin Army Community Hospital.
She loved antiques and enjoyed making a deal with people at flea markets.
Survivors include her son, Phillip Eckert (Kim) of Ellerslie, GA, brother, Joseph Price of Columbus, GA, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society 233 12th St. Columbus, GA 31901.
