Janet Ford Meadows

Janet Meadows, 75, of Columbus, GA died Monday, March 6, 2023 at her residence.

A celebration of life will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, April 15, 2023 at Beallwood Baptist Church in 4650 Veterans Pkwy. Columbus, GA  according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.

Janet was born August 5, 1947 in Chattanooga, TN to the late William Alexander Ford, Sr. and Fannie Lee Jackson Ford. She graduated from Notre Dame High School, Chattanooga, TN in 1965. After high school she attended the University of Chattanooga, Edmonds College of Business and Columbus State University where she earned her associates degree. She worked at Grady Hospital in Atlanta, GA and Doctors Hospital in Columbus, GA as a Unit Secretary. She attended Holy Family Catholic Church, loved to travel and enjoyed painting and creating art. Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Robert L. Meadows, Jr., brothers, James Ford and Peter Jackson “Jack” Ford.

She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Ann Meadows, grandson, Dustin Robert Tucker, brothers, William “Bill” Ford, Patrick “ Pat” Ford (Suzanne), sister, Mary Ford Agraz (Rodolfo), Estelle Ford-Williamson (Richard), Clara Ford, Catherine “Katie” Sprouse  (Joel) and Monica “Mona” Ford.
