Jane Edwards Sanders, 78, of Acworth, GA died Monday, November 23, 2020 at Overlook at Cedarcrest Assisted Living in Acworth, GA.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM Friday, November 27, 2020 at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Rev. Mark Sasser officiating. A private interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery with her grandchildren serving as pallbearers. In keeping with the efforts to stop the spread of COVID-19 face coverings and social distancing will be required during the funeral service.

Jane was born February 9, 1942 in Columbus, GA to the late Francis Marion Edwards, Sr. and Louise Hightower Edwards. She worked for the Bradley Center as a Medical Transcriptionist. Jane was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church and a former member of Hamp Stevens Methodist Church. Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Wayne Sanders and brother, Francis M. Edwards, JR.

She is survived by her daughters, Leanne Sanders Fort (Wes) of McDonough, GA, Amy Sanders Freiler (Chris) of Acworth, GA, brother, Michael Edwards (Mitchell Smith) of Atlanta, GA, sister-in-law, Joyce H. Carter of Cartersville, GA, grandchildren, Katie Fort Zellner (Tyler) of McDonough, GA, Robby Fort (Kassidy Graham) of McDonough, GA, Luke Freiler of Acworth, GA, Matthew Freiler of Acworth, GA, Jacob Freiler of Acworth, GA, great-grandchildren, Lucy Grace Fort of McDonough, GA, Lennon Noelle Zellner of McDonough, GA, other special family, Aretha Jackson of Columbus, GA, David and Sue Sasser of Columbus, GA, Patty and Steve Norman of Midland, GA, and Susan H. Smith of Columbus, GA.
