James Mark Willis, Sr.

James Mark Willis Sr., 64, of Columbus, GA died Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at Columbus Hospice House.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, August 27, 2021 in the chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory with Dr. Joseph Hurst officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.  A private interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we encourage everyone to make the best decisions to remain safe. If anyone wishes to attend the chapel service, please remember to remain 6 feet apart from those not in your household and wear personal protective equipment.

James was born July 21, 1957 in Columbus, GA to the late Emmett Erastus and Mary Anne Haisten Willis. He worked for Toms foods and then became the owner and operator for Willis Vending working as an Independent Distributor for 30 plus years. He was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church, was an avid Georgia fan, NASCAR fan and was always the life of the party. His greatest love was spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his children, Julie Campbell (Kyle) of Smiths Station, AL, Amy Willis of Columbus, GA, James Willis, Jr. (Caya) of Columbus, GA, Emilie Willis of Columbus, GA, Frank Emmett Willis (Kiyondra) of Columbus, GA, Nancy Willis, his “Honey” and the mother of his children, grandchildren, Nathan Campbell of Smiths Station, AL, Madison Willis, of Columbus, GA, Morgan Willis of Columbus, GA, Maddox Tucker of Columbus, GA, Kaelen Williams of Columbus, GA, and Rylee Willis of Columbus, GA, sister, Leighanne Willis Nix (Dana) of Columbus, GA, brothers, Matt Willis (Patricia) of Macon, GA, John Willis (Lynn) of Douglasville, GA., and many nieces and nephews and extended family.
