James "Coach Wilbourn" Emaskies Wilbourn

James Emaskies Wilbourn, 82, of Columbus, GA died Monday, March 17, 2014 at Gentiva Hospice surrounded by his loving family.
Graveside services will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday, March 21, 2014 at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, March 20, 2014 from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. at McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA 31907.
Mr. Wilbourn was born January 19, 1932 in Henry County, AL, son of the late James Cornelius Wilbourn and Ocie Taylor Wilbourn. He was the owner and operator of T & W Curb Market. He was a dedicated coach for American Little League, North Columbus Babe Ruth and Columbus Youth Football for almost 30 years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Myrtis Prophitt and his brother, Alton Wilbourn.
Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years, Nancy Louise Blaxton Wilbourn of Columbus, GA; sons, James Michael Wilbourn of Columbus, GA, Kenneth Alvin Wilbourn of Cataula, GA and Russell Alan Wilbourn of Columbus, GA; daughter, Teresa Ann Wilbourn of Phenix City, AL; sister, Janel Niles (David) of Phenix City, AL; five grandchildren, four great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Flowers will be accepted, but those so desiring may make memorial contributions to their favorite charity.
