Rick was born June 21, 1935 in Columbus, GA son of the late Robert A. and Birdie Elizabeth White. Rick spent 4 years serving his country in the United States Navy and 2 years in the United States Navy Reserves. He met and married his wife Mary Evelyn in Columbus GA and they briefly moved to Jacksonville, FL to begin their life together.
Upon returning to Columbus, he worked in finance and their family grew. After his work with finance, Rick began working as a County Police Officer. After completing his undergrad at Columbus College, Rick made multiple trips a week, while working and supporting his family, to the Woodrow Wilson Law School in Atlanta GA to complete his doctorate in law. Rick retired from his career with the Columbus Consolidated Government, within the CSI unit, where he had also become a State Certified Forensic Expert.
Throughout his life, he was an active member with the Jaycees and became a Mason and Scottish Rite member. He also served as the President of the local Civitan Club in the 1970s. As an accomplished musician, Rick created a 17-piece big band, the Rick White Big Band Orchestra, which served the community at many social functions.
