James Ellsworth Tranter, 80, of Midland, GA, died Friday, July 10, 2020 at Piedmont Midtown Hospital after a brief illness.
A private burial with will be held at Canton National Cemetery at a later date.
James was born March 8, 1940 in New Castle, IN to the late James C. Tranter and Lorene Knight Tranter. He owned and operated Sky Dive Anderson and later worked with O'Reilly Auto Parts in South Carolina and Tennessee. He loved to go fishing, motorcycle riding, and water and snow skiing. He was an avid adventurer and loved to travel. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by his daughter Lora Bauer.
Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Ronda Ellison Tranter of Midland, GA, children, Jeffery Tranter (Angel) of Wisconsin, James Ryan Tranter and girlfriend Jenny Hemby of Denver, Colorado, sister, Sandy Pickett of Indiana and other extended family.
