James Lee Suggs, 72, of Columbus Ga. passed away Saturday February 7, 2015 at his home in Columbus Ga.
Funeral Services will be held 3:00 P. M. Thursday, February 12, 2015 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Father Nick Mansell officiating. Interment will follow at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home.
James was born March 6, 1942 in Columbus Ga. the son of the late Clarence and Earnie Mae Hollis Suggs. He retired from Communicorp and lived in Columbus all his life. Other than his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Lavern Godwin and brother Ronnie Suggs.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years Nora Suggs, a daughter, Chloe Suggs and his dog "Dexter Lee". Kids from a previous marriage include: Jimmy, Jeff, Joey and Angela. James came from a large family and his surviving siblings are four sisters, Mary Ann Cannon, Dixie Newman, Cynthia Ramsey and Lula Schweinfurth, three brothers, Clarence Suggs, Jr., Allen Suggs and David Suggs.
James is loved by many and will be greatly missed by his clover family.
