James Richard "Dickie" Stone

James Richard "Dickie" Stone, 61, of Columbus, GA died Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at St. Francis Hospital.
The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 4 to 6 p.m. at McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA. A private interment will be held at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery.
Mr. Stone was born July 30, 1949 in Columbus, GA son of Dorothy Baker Stone of Columbus, GA and the late Robert Lee Stone. After 25 years, he retired after working with UPS. He later became the Property Manager for Columbus Park Crossing. He was a Baptist by faith.
Other than his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Regenia Stone Hughes.
Survivors other than his mother include his wife, Ann Barbee Stone of Columbus, GA, two sons, Ricky Stone (Alissa) of Phenix City, AL and Jason Stone (Tina) of Cataula, GA, brother-in-law, Bill Hughes of Columbus, GA, brother, Bobby Stone of Columbus, GA, step daughter, Kim Cannon Stone (Kevin) of Columbus, GA, step sons, Jim Cannon of Cataula, GA and Jason Cannon of Cataula, GA, six grandchildren, and four step grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association 1639 Bradley Park Drive Columbus, GA 31904.
