James "Jimmy" E. Skeen, Sr., 68, of Columbus, GA, died Thursday, January 7, 2016 at Columbus Hospice House.
Funeral Services will be held 12:00 Noon. Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at the McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907, with Reverend Vernon Prather officiating. Interment will follow at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M.
James was born November 5, 1947 in Columbus, GA to the late Bunion Ellis and Pauline Strickland Skeen. Other than his parents he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Elizabeth Brooke Jackson.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Skeen; Children, James "Jay" E. Skeen, Jr., Yvette Carr (Jason) of Ashland, AL, Lisa Taylor, of Dallas, TX, and Mike Skeen of North Carolina; a sister, Gloria Woods(Troy) of Columbus, GA; two brothers, Warren Earl Skeen(Carol) of Phenix City, AL, Todd Ellis Skeen(Lisa) of Daphne, AL; grandchildren, Eric Jackson, Jameson Carr, Cesily Lantz, A.J. Skeen, Bella Skeen, and Ansley Taylor.
