James Clinton Robinson, 85, of Columbus, GA died Monday, July 8, 2013 at Columbus Hospice House.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Reverend Dallas Short officiating. A private interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery.
Mr. Robinson was born September 18, 1927 in Marion County, GA son of the late Jay and Rena Gallops Robinson. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran. He formerly worked at Swift Manufacturing in the Accounting Department. He was the business owner of Robinson Supply Company. He was a member of Upatoi Baptist Church.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor Robinson and sisters, Velma James and Jewel Ellis.
Survivors include his children, Linda Robinson Atkinson (Jimmy) of Phenix City, AL, Steve Robinson (Cathy) of Box Springs, GA and Kenneth Robinson of Columbus, GA, brother, Malvin Robinson (Ann) of Ashboro, NC, six grandchildren, Nikki Snipes, Lee Atkinson (Brandi), Morgan Robinson, Lindsay Robinson, Clint Robinson (Ashley) and April Robinson, and four great grandchildren, Kyle Snipes, Austin Snipes, Daltyn Atkinson and Cody Atkinson.
The family would like to thank Dr. Manoj Patel and Dr. Kamlesh Patel for their care.
