James Foster O'Quinn, Jr., 78, of Columbus, GA died Thursday, June 9, 2016 at Columbus Hospice House.
A memorial service will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Ellerslie, GA with Rev. Tommy Henschel officiating. A private family graveside service was held at Rehobeth Cemetery in Cataula, GA according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
James was born April 7, 1938 in Waycross, GA son of the late James Foster O'Quinn, Sr. and Pearl Sasser O'Quinn. He was a retired truck driver for Sunbelt Transport and was in the U.S. Army Reserves. James was also a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Ellerslie, GA. He loved to fish and play bridge.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Billy O'Quinn.
Survivors include his loving wife, Theodosia Loper O'Quinn of Cataula, GA, daughter, Donna Patterson (Gary) of Cataula, GA, sons, Kevin O'Quinn (Jan) of Blue Ridge, GA and James Foster O'Quinn, III (Niki) of Jackson, MS, sister, Ann Young (Robert) of Kearney, NE, sister-in-law, Lorraine O'Quinn, 9 grandchildren, Ellisa Beth Adams (Bryan), Ellana Beth Patterson, Georgia Beth Patterson, Katherine Rose O'Quinn, William Hudson O'Quinn, James Foster O'Quinn, IV, Samuel Bennett O'Quinn, Corwin Silas O'Quinn and Sean Alexander O'Quinn, and two great grandchildren, Connor Bryan Adams and Lilliana Beth Adams.
