James "Jim" Harold Meadows

James "Jim" Harold Meadows, 71, Columbus, GA, died Sunday, November 24, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. The Family will receive friends following the service at the Funeral Home.
Mr. Meadows was born December 12, 1941 in Beckley, West Virginia son of the late Ray Meadows and Vera McClaregherty Meadows. Mr. Meadows was one of 17 children. He retired as a MSG from the United States Army with 25 years as a Supply Sergeant and 31 years as a Purchasing manager for Precision Components International INC
( PCI).
Other than his parents he was preceded in death by two sons, James and Patrick Meadows.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years; Lois Owens Meadows of Columbus, GA, sons; Tim Meadows(Teresa) of Crosby, TX, Brian Meadows (Sherri) of Jacksonville, FL, Eddie Meadows of Columbus, GA, 9 grandchildren,4 great-grandchildren.
Flowers will be accepted; but, those who wish may make memorial contributions to The American Cancer Society, 233 12th Street #710, Columbus, GA 31901 or to a charity of your choice.
