James L. Mcquinn

James L. McQuinn, 89, of Columbus, GA died Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at Magnolia Manor. He was loved by the many caregivers at that facility.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM EST Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.

James was born March 30, 1933 in Chattanooga, TN to the late Lester Lee McQuinn and Mamie Estelle Stewart McQuinn. He lived in Columbus Georgia the majority of his life.  He was a US Navy veteran and retired from Delta Airlines where he worked in many departments.  Additionally, he worked at Publix where he loved meeting people. He was a member of Living Grace United Methodist Church.  He loved to hunt, fish, was a very hard worker and loved being a jokester. He loved watching Georgia Football and never met a stranger. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley McQuinn, second wife, Irene McQuinn, sister, Mildred Shipley and brother, David McQuinn, Sr.

He is survived by his daughter, Sharon K. Gaston (Hans) of Columbus, GA, grandchildren, Kelsey Dixon (Chase) of Hurtsboro, AL, Stephanie Eason (Bryan) of Phenix City, AL,  great-grandchild Ava Eason, two nephews, extended family and friends.
