James H. Lott, 91 of Columbus died Thursday, May 30, 2024 at Piedmont Midtown Medical Center Hospital.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, June 7, 2024 at Parkhill Cemetery, 4161 Macon Road, Columbus, GA, 31907. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the cemetery according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
James was born June 28, 1932 in Columbus, GA, son of the late Harvey Lott and Eva Calhoun Lott. He served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War having received several awards and decorations. Mr. Lott retired after multiple years as a roofer on both residential and commercial buildings. Other than his parents, James was preceded in death by his wife, Glenda Faye Beach Lott, sisters, Evelyn Amerson and Rommie Smith, sons, James Lott, Jr. and Timothy Wayne Lott and his daughter and son-in-law, Eva and John Hearn.
Survivors include his daughters, Debra McCall, Colleen Kilts, Nancy Baker (Billy), Barbara Lopez (Juan) and his son, Steve Lott (Hazel), several nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
