James Alton Hamric

James Alton Hamric, 79, of Midland, GA died Monday, March 8, 2021 at his residence.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Friday, March 12, 2021 at Parkhill Cemetery with Dr. Jimmy Elder officiating. The family will receive friends 12:30-1:30 PM Friday, March 12, 2021 at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. In keeping with the efforts to stop the spread of COVID-19 facemasks and social distancing will be required during the visitation and the graveside service.
James was born August 10, 1941 in Columbus, Georgia to the late William Alton Hamric and Lena Bell Rogers Hamric. He served in the Air Force and retired from Hallmark Cards after 40 plus years. James loved to watch his kids/grandkids play sports, loved to play golf, grill, and spend time talking to his friends and an occasional total stranger. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Cecilia Ann Carroll Hamric.
He is survived by his sons, Todd Hamric (Beth) of Nashville, TN, Lane Hamric (Jennifer) of Fortson, GA, siblings, Judy Richards of Columbus, GA, Jerry Hamric of Columbus, GA, grandchildren Alec, Phillip, Andrew, Mari Hart, Aubrey, Skylar,several nieces, nephews and other family members.
