James Theodore Green, III (J.T.), 58, of Columbus, GA died May 25, 2020 at Piedmont Regional Hospital.
Private funeral services for family and close friends will be held 11:00AM Saturday, May 30, 2020 at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Mike Underwood officiating. In keeping with the efforts to stop the spread of COVID-19, McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory will be following the guidelines set forth by the CDC and Governor Brian Kemp to maintain social distancing for those attending the funeral.
J.T. was born December 07, 1961 to Mr. James Theodore Green, Jr. and Mrs. Marilou McIntosh. He was a graduate of Indiana State University, a member of Sigma Nu and went on to become a claims adjuster with Gallagher Bassett services. He attended Edgewood Church of Christ, loved blues music and tried to attend as many blues concerts as he could, he also loved the Chicago Cubs. He loved to play poker with his buddies and chatted with his Sigma Nu friends frequently.
He is preceded in death by his Dad, James Theodore Green Jr. and by his sister, Rhonda Hulsey.
Survivors include The love of his life, his wife Joan Green of Columbus, GA, daughter, Rachel Britten of Atlanta, GA, sons, Walker Green of Columbus, GA, Gregory Green of Columbus, GA., DJ Britten of Columbus GA,Dad, William McIntosh Sr. of Boonville, IN, mother, Marilou McIntosh of Booneville, IN, brothers, William McIntosh Jr. of Marietta, GA, Richard McIntosh, Mark McIntosh (Amy) of Newburgh, IN, Josh(Christy)Beamer of Milford KS, Jason (Eleni) Beamer of Herrin IL. sisters, Shelia Seiler (Tim) of Boonville, IN, Tracy Brakie (Chris) of Boonville, IN, 5 grandchildren, Olivia Robinson, Jakobe Williams, Soleil Britten, Jaiden Britten, and Lennox Britten, and many nieces and nephews.
JT was a fun loving and loyal man. He had many friends. He spent hours playing tabletop games with his sons, daughter, grandchildren and his many nieces and nephews. JT was an easy Uncle to turn to for advice, love and support. JT deeply loved his family. JT never met a stranger and would eagerly open his doors to any and all in need.
His last thoughts were about his wife and children. Talking with the nursing staff of just wanting to ‘get back home to them'. Bragging about each of his children's love for him and his for them. He spoke about each of their strengths to the staff and how very thankful he was for them.
"Died twice.... Lived ONE good happy life!"
